Society6 Risograph Zine Competition

Time Lost - Bear In The Forest
I don't know how I managed to work on so many illustrations for this competition but I think it was because I enjoyed finding out about the risograph process and that spurred me on to try different themes, ideas and techniques that might be successful with the process.  But this is truly the last one and it's all up to the judge(s) now to choose.  I'm now going to create some lovely accessories from this illustration and I'll let you know how things go.

Society6 Competition For Risograph Zine

Seven Ages of Man
I'm so enjoying trying different methods of creating for the risograph zine brief.  I took my inspiration for the them of 'lost time' from ageing and remembered Shakespeare's 'Seven Ages of Man'.  That gave me the starting point for number 4 entry.  So far, the illustration is available as an art print and poster.

Riso Zine Competition Entry #2

Lost Time Birdie : redroadstudio : society6
My 2nd risograph entry (completed 3 so far) on society6 based on the theme of lost time.  I took it literally with a clock losing time and used a gaudy faded vintage elements to the illustration.  I have till the end of the month so you never know I may come up with another ..... I'm thinking about it .....

'Lost Time' Zine Competition Entry

Lost Time Ticking
And here's the new design I mentioned earlier.  It's an entry to Society 6 'Lost Time' competition.  Art work had to be suitable for a Risograph process, which is a mix between screen print and a Xerox.  It was created in Japan in the early 1980's as a low cost document duplicator.

Work had to be in limited colours with a light coloured paper background - white being the preferred choice.  Art work should be prepared with some amount of overprint and bleed as layer registration is not perfect.

Lost Time Ticking is my entry so wish me luck!!  I won't hear till the end of January if I'm successful but I really enjoyed working on this.
