WWF Panda Auction

Original Panda Illustration
Thank you to the buyer at the auction!  WWF will benefit from it so that really pleases me and just a few more to go with less than a day to put your bid in.  Good luck!  There are four original works up for auction with proceeds to WWF

Go Feed The Ducks!

Beveridge Boating Pond
Winter Tree As The Sun Gets Higher
A Confident Duck!
Time to refresh and what a better way to start a new project than a walk in the local park with some stale bread. Pesky seagulls took most of it and have you ever tried to take photographs and feed the birds at the same time! Now ready for my new work!

So my 'Art of Fashion' board has been storming round Pinterest this month with the top 5 almost reaching 1,000 re-pins!  Fantastic!  It always surprises me what goes viral from my boards but it's really interesting to find out.  If you happen to know who the illustrator for number 5 is - that would be great!  Part deux later!

New iPhone 6 Cases For Christmas Ideas

Managed to get my Whimsical Buildings, Damask Butterfly, Monogram Love Keys and a Polka Dot Geometric as new iPhone 6 Cases on Zazzle with the full electronics range here.  Must be in a subtle mood as I don't normally go for these muted shades or themes.  Enjoy!

I wonder - What would you like to see on your iPhone or any mobile phone for that matter - let me know and I'll see what I can do.

Autumn Apples in Fife

Orchard Apples
Autumn Apples
Pillars of Hercules
Took Ian up to Pillars to show him the lovely apple orchard but alas, every single one had been picked so my only solace was a lovely treat at the cafe and I had taken some pics when I was up with my daughter.  Love the extended outdoor part - it just keeps going from strength to strength.

New Red Road Studio Textile Prints

Aqua Blue Damask Range

Cottage Garden Range
Delighted to get my fabric samples back - I get them printed at Glasgow School of Art and they do a fantastic job.  Each sample is approximately A1 in size in gorgeous silk.  They'll be a lot of photography going on over the next few weeks to sell these babes! But for now I'm putting them on Instagram.

Inspiration Trip : Contrasts of Aberdour

Beach find - Silver Sands

Secret location Aberdour funghi

Autumn trees surrounding the beach
Aberdour Beach
Had a few days around Scotland to refresh and revive.  We've been so lucky with the weather - these were taken last week before we went to Inverness.  Aberdour has such a contrast of features - the beach, the park, the harbour and the wee village - autumn just seems to add to it.  Feeling all excited about my new commission!

African Wax Print

Blue African Wax

Cards & Accessories
A really interesting commission's been happening and am really enjoying working on it.  I studied batik at art school so knew I would get my teeth into it.  African Wax Prints tell stories of relevance to the wearer, such as proverbs, poems and traditional African fables. The colours also hold significance as they can represent social standing, age, tribal orientation and marital status. This design is based on a Nigerian proverb - "However far the stream flows, it never forgets its source."

City in Love Bespoke Poster

Shop Here For Poster
Shop Here For Poster
Amazing how things turn out when they start as an idea in your head ..... I had imagined a really ornate Victorian type illustration so I researched lots of sculpture, Victorian icons and photographs to create this unique and original artwork. I love working with fine line pen and black & white ever since my art college days.  So what's in the illustration? Well, there are gorgeous wee cherubs with wings, tumbling grapes, ornate architecture details, wreaths, organ pipes, garlands of flowers, a huge book on a stand finished with the word 'Paris'.  When I got to the 'Paris' part, I worked on really decoration type but I don't think it worked - it needed space around the drawing. So here it is with a chance to create your own bespoke city or town poster - like the New York example.  Art cards to follow.

Versace Meets Paris

Seem to be working with fine line pen for the last few projects - just working on the centre of this and after a chat with my friend Tash it's going to be bespoke places eg Paris, Edinburgh - I might have to limit the number of letters to get it to fit LOL.

Panda Triptych

On the studio wall to check my panda triptych out - all A3 but I think if I did them again I might go up to A2 - I wonder what the print costs are like at that size.  Must find out.  What size do you prefer?

I can't believe I've reached over 5,000 items on Zazzle (a print on demand website) but what a range and variety of products.  Pattern should be everywhere!  Well, that's what I think and a huge thank you for all you lovely customers out there - it's much appreciated!  This is just a wee sample.

Panda With Roses Triptych Illustration

Panda Accessories - Work in Progress
Panda triptych ready to go to printers yeah!  People have been asking me about t-shirts etc so I've been busy putting them up for sale in ZAZZLE - still working on them so keep popping by.  It was interesting doing this sequence as I had never done anything like it - took me ages but that's because I'm not very technical LOL

Panda With Roses Triptych Illustration

Panda With Roses
Just hung them up on the studio wall to see how they looked.  As a kid's wear designer I was asked to come up with some garments for panda playsuits and at the time I remember thinking what if it was reversed and the pandas wore the playsuits! Well the idea has eventually made it mixed in with a tattoo theme - go figure!!!

These are all A3 fine line pen drawings so I hope to have them as limited edition prints A4, possibly A3.  I have one in a range of accessories at my shop - must sort the rest out ASAP and donate some of it to the WWF fund again.
