Paris Shopping Trip Pattern

Following a shopping trip and break to Paris I took the drawings I'd been working on in my sketchbook - from designer shoes and bags to French cars from passport to sunglasses and created this fun kitsch conversational pattern.  Vive La Paris!  Another version made its way to Society6 in all manor of accessories and prints.

ANGRY QUEEN BEES PATTERN QU

QUEEN BEES PATTERN SOCIETY 6 ACCESSORIES
So the travels continue and from Iban culture and its people to the world of bees with this new developing idea I'm toying with.  Their wings are so delicate and bodies so strong ..... wonderful.  I wanted a sharp contrast to the natural elements of the bees and went for striking orange and a triangle.  Perhaps I'll make the triangles solid .....  you'll be able to see if you pop to society6

New Work : Boho Daisy Geometric

My watercolour pencils and paints have been busy with this boho inspired pattern. And the usual line work applied once the watercolours had dried.  So far, it's available as an art print on 'society6' but I hope to have accessories in this range.

New Summer Ikat Pattern Art

New Summer Ikat
We've had two lovely days here and about time!  I even got to sit out with my breakfast on our little decking area.  It always makes me want to use lovely summer colours and this is my modern take on a traditional ikat pattern mixing it with contemporary sharp lines.  The art print is available on society6 and I'm working on accessories or, at least, I will be when I get all my hundreds of poppy heads out the garden.  Never had so many in my life!

Boho Daisy Art Print

Boho Daisy Pattern on society6
One of my most popular patterns that is part of a modern paisley range with a Bohemian feel.  I've used my art print on society6 as an example of what's available.  Really enjoyed creating this range and I did an extended example of the pattern here with a boho daisy throw pillow linked.

Ombre Deco Lines Pattern : society6

Ombre Deco Lines Shower Curtain Pattern
This geometric pattern is a modern interpretation of classic Art Deco mixed with modern ombre and an abstract pattern with lines for texture.  Created using watercolours and washes in warm summer colours.  As always, there are several accessories to choose from for this pattern and I've linked it to the shower curtain for anyone thinking about brightening up their bathroom....

Modern Ikat Pattern on society6

Ikat Pattern Wall Clock by redroadstudio on society6
Does anyone else think that ikat influenced pattern have a bohemian feel to them?  Perhaps it's something to do with where they traditionally started from such as South America, Southeast Asia, the Middle East - all countries with strong traditions in textiles and pattern.  My ikat range of over 5 co-ordinated patterns are available on society6 and I've highlighted this ikat hearts wall clock as an example.

Pastel Kitsch Paris Icons Pattern

redroadstudio's Pastel Kitsch Paris Icon Pattern on society6
Conversational set of patterns with a travel theme of Paris and Japan.  Inspiration gathered from photographs I took of the architecture, Paris street signs, little details like coffee on the Champs Elysees and a menu stand.  My example for this print is the mug available on society6.

REDROADSTUDIO SUMMER TOTE BAGS AT SOCIETY6

CUSTOM TOTE BAGS FOR SUMMER
We can never have enough tote bags especially as we have to pay for any plastic bags in the shops now and a lot of us are thinking more 'green'.  My tote bags are ideal for summer and can brighten up any day with a unique pattern or illustration.  I've also created a PeoplePerHour 'Hourlie' so you can commission me to create a bespoke, individual design especially for you or perhaps a family member or loved one.

TWELVE OF DIAMONDS REDROADSTUDIO ABSTRACT ART PRINT

TWELVE OF DIAMONDS ART PRINT
I think I must be going through a 'needing a lot of colour round me' phase with my latest art print on society6.  Hankering after a Bohemian lifestyle perhaps LOL!  It's believed that diamonds absorb thoughts and feelings with the skills to conduct and strengthen energy.  Sums up what I'm needing...

Modern Africa Accessory Patterns on Society6

Society6
The Modern Africa set of patterns was inspired by merging the traditional influences of pattern in Africa with modern design elements including images I worked on from the infamous Red Road flats in Glasgow.

Colours had to be strong, vibrant with turquoise, orange, red and blue mixed with black on a white background.  Powerful clean colours using abstract shapes to create very geometric shapes.  There's a full range of products in my Society6 shop including art prints, cushions and iPhone covers.
