My thought turned to summer when I was working on this alluring mermaid with the 'come hither' look.  Just wishing our summer here in Scotland would last longer than 2 days!  I've created this homage to old school tattoos for men and women so you can feel in a summer mood.  You can also choose your own t-shirt colour.

Happy New Year everyone, I have been neglecting my blog for quite some time so am about to rectify that by starting with my very last commission of 2015.  And suddenly I had another skull artwork to create just after completing my very first one - what a coincidence!  Her's the artwork before it went into it's frame - I enjoyed working with this as I've been thinking about working three dimensionally for a wee while now.  The client wanted the skull raised off the background.  And now on to 2016 wishing you all health, wealth and happiness and lots of creativity!!

Lovely working on ideas for menswear as I've only completed 2 projects for them.  One was for Russia and this 'Internal' project was for the UK featuring ink tattoo, skull and typography elements.  All quite different for me so it was something I really enjoyed.

New work on zazzle. I've been working on urban tribal icons mixed with stylised animals for my new T-Shirt design.  Well, it's just a t-shirt at the moment which can be customised with a name, word or expression - that's up to you and allows you to be part of the process too.  It was great fun researching for this and I may create further work.

On the studio wall to check my panda triptych out - all A3 but I think if I did them again I might go up to A2 - I wonder what the print costs are like at that size.  Must find out.  What size do you prefer?

Just hung them up on the studio wall to see how they looked.  As a kid's wear designer I was asked to come up with some garments for panda playsuits and at the time I remember thinking what if it was reversed and the pandas wore the playsuits! Well the idea has eventually made it mixed in with a tattoo theme - go figure!!!

These are all A3 fine line pen drawings so I hope to have them as limited edition prints A4, possibly A3.  I have one in a range of accessories at my shop - must sort the rest out ASAP and donate some of it to the WWF fund again.

The Raven & Roses Tattoo

Latest work winging its way to a new home.  A new tattoo for someone and the first time I've tackled a raven - I don't know whether I like them or not but enjoying my second tattoo commission.  Extract from the RSPB website "The raven is a big black bird, a member of the crow family. It is massive - the biggest member of the crow family. It is all black with a large bill, and long wings. In flight, it shows a diamond-shaped tail."
